Llaw Du Morgan

It’s said that Sir Gaheris’ right arm was somewhat longer than his left. This was a half-truth concealing a dreadful secret. Morgan used wicked magecraft to transform her son’s arm into a demonic weapon filled to the brim with her anger, turning it—and Gaheris—into a tool for killing King Arthur. This unfeeling stone construct thrums with evil power, hatred incarnate...an arm that can no longer be called a limb.    When activated, it unleashes a horrible curse concocted to bypass any defense its target could muster, aiming not to “kill” but to “sever”—that is, to rip the target’s soul from their body. Luck cannot deter it, and only the highest ranks of Magic Resistance can defend against it. On a successful strike, the target's removed soul quickly degrades and dissipates without its anchor—and even on a failure, the ruptured soul left behind causes serious damage.     Owing to its origins as a weapon steeped in Morgan’s ugly emotions though, the black hand’s power fluctuates based upon Gaheris’ own negative feelings towards the target. The more his resentment grows, the higher the chances of Llaw Du Morgan’s severance succeeding...though this is just as much of a weakness as it is a strength. No matter what, its rank only heightens in response to what Gaheris truly feels, and thus cannot simply be forced into a heightened state. Not only that, but as Gaheris himself is a man who does not hate lightly (and is loath to even use his Noble Phantasm in the first palace), it’s unlikely that this could ever reliably function at its highest level. Only two immediate exceptions exist—his mother, and his king. Of course, Gaheris does not hate King Arthur. It’s a result of the “lingering will” trapped within his right arm, the curse that knows its purpose is to kill the legendary King of Camelot...a grudge that calls itself “Morgan.” Fortunately, Gaheris can resist her encroaching mind, but her influence causes Llaw Du Morgan’s strength to rise when used against individuals resembling King Arthur and, obviously, is most effective when used on King Arthur himself. The presence of such figures alone is enough to stoke Morgan’s psyche into action, to the point that it takes considerable effort for Gaheris to silence her urgings for vengeance.    Llaw Du Morgan normally requires physical contact, but this isn’t the case when Gaheris is summoned as an Assassin. The blackened magical energy exuding from his arm can be funneled into any tool he wishes, from swords and axes to arrows and spears, and even the raw energy itself can simply be launched at the foe when operating at its peak. The only usage restriction in this case depends entirely on Gaheris’ own skill level...and of course, that of his target as well.

Despondent, dour, and downright depressing. The kind of guy who can't so much as enter a room without immediately killing the mood.

Arturia Pendragon  An ephemeral existence to whom he feels complete love and devotion. Once, his very purpose in life was to kill her...but Gaheris became enamored by the rare glimpses of humanity she showed in spite of absolute perfection. He decided that King Arthur was a king that he would lay down his life for. However, because his arm's malevolent utterances become so much louder in her presence, Gaheris keeps his distance.    Arturia Pendragon (Alter)  Gaheris does not recognize the blackened King of Knights as his lord. But he does admire her ability to still pursue justice even while accepting darkness...and secretly, is consoled by the fact that even his "perfect" king could reach such a state.    Lion King  This Gaheris has never met the wayward Lion King of the Sixth Singularity—but if he did, he'd make the exact same choice all over again. He would not pledge his allegiance to a king that sullies Arthur's name and face in such a distasteful manner. The King Arthur that Gaheris swore an oath to is unquestionably human.    Morgan le Fay  A spiteful woman who cursed and abused him, who orchestrated so much pain for her own selfish ends. He'd pity her if he didn't completely hate her.    Gawain  A constant bright spot even on the darkest of days. Gaheris used to envy his brother's ability to bring smiles no matter the situation...but now, many of his most cherished memories involve the loveable oaf. Though, there's an emphasis on "oaf," Gaheris says.    Gareth  Someone who deserved so much more than she received. He once opposed her knighthood out of worry, but instantly regretted it when he saw how happy and proud she was to serve alongside her brothers. He likes to dote on her from afar.    Agravain  Precisely because they are similar, Gaheris and Agravain could never get along. They understood each other more than anyone else...and because of that, neither ever truly believed the other had turned against their mother. Gaheris wishes they had been closer.    Mordred  As both of them were born as Morgan's tools, Gaheris empathizes with Mordred, and wishes he'd known they were siblings. But he also feels that Mordred gave Morgan exactly what she wanted, and doesn't mince words with her because of that.    Tristan and Percival  Aside from his siblings, these two were Gaheris' closest friends, and he gladly assisted them on many of their adventures. Those memories recall simpler days. Listening to Tristan's sorrowful harp, getting lost for days with Percival...even things that should be sad or frustrating are only that much more precious to him.    Bedivere  Even when they were alive, Gaheris strongly admired Bedivere’s unwavering loyalty. He jokes that Bedivere is infringing upon his style now though...and just a little, quietly resents that his comrade’s silver arm can shine with such brilliant light.    Lancelot  No. He cannot be forgiven.
